This opportunity provides the student with insight on how City Government works with various industries such as Event and Film Production and how this relates to Tourism. The unpaid internship is mainly to serve as administrative support to the Special Events office. In conjunction with their administrative support they will also get to experience onsite meetings, film and special event scouts/walk-through’s with producers, visit film sets, and in many cases attend actual special events.
Job Description: Answer Phones; Attend walk-ins; Data entry; Copying; Faxing/Scanning; Filing; Mail pick up & drop off. Ability to understand and carry out oral and written instructions. Ability to effectively and efficiently start/ finish a task with little to no supervision. Ability to relay clear information between the public and the managing office.
