HBIF is seeking interns for its offices. The Tampa Bay and South Florida offices are seeking interns for both Fall and Spring semesters, while the Central Florida office is seeking interns for the Spring semester. HBIF is a nonprofit economic development organization that offers business consulting services and educational workshops to Hispanic entrepreneurs in Florida. HBIF provides a professional learning environment for student interns, offering them a chance to observe and assist with the process of counseling clients as well as attend networking events. Other intern responsibilities may include planning events, updating Web site and social media, conducting research, managing the database, assisting with general office duties and helping develop marketing materials.
Desired Skills and Qualifications Student must be working toward a major in business, economics, advertising, marketing, or a related field.Student must be fully bilingual (English/Spanish); since the organization’s clientele is predominantly Spanish-speaking, proper Spanish will often be necessary during client meetings, orientation sessions and telephone conversations.Computer skills: proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Publisher and Power Point.
