Sergio Fernandez is Associate Professor in Indiana University School of Public and Environmental Affairs and Director of the Ph.D. in Public Affairs and Joint Ph.D. in Public Policy Programs. His research focuses on employee empowerment in public organizations, public sector leadership, representative bureaucracy in the United States and South Africa, organizational change and innovation in government, and government procurement and outsourcing.

Gregg G. Van Ryzin Presents Experiments in Public Administration Research

Gregg G. Van Ryzin is professor and director of the PhD program in the School of Public Affairs and Administration, Rutgers University—Newark. His research employs surveys and experiments to understand how citizens evaluate and respond to public services and institutions. He has published widely in public administration and policy journals and is author (with Dahlia K. Remler) of Research Methods in Practice (SAGE ).

Professor Hugh Miller from Florida Atlantic University will be visiting FIU on Monday, November 30. His talk is entitled, "Reflections on Governing Narratives: drug policy discourse, survival strategies, managerial theft of the now-spectral genesis narrative, and identity and affect," will start at 6 pm in the conference room (PCA 254). Dr. Miller will meet with doctoral students at 4 pm.
