Patrice began the Ph.D program at FIU during the fall 2015. She obtained a Bachelor’s of Arts in Economics from York College and a Master’s of Public Administration from New York University, specializing in International Development and Quantitative Analysis. Her international work experience includes working as a Micro-Finance expert for USAID, United Nations and multiple countries including; United States, Dominican Republic, Haiti, Peru, Burkina Faso, Morocco and Kenya. Patrice also has domestic work experience that includes tenure at multiple fiscal positions at the municipal level. Her research interests include examining: Truth & Integrity in budgets, especially at state, county and municipal levels; Examining Performance of local governments in execution of their budgets; and furthering the research in Performance Budgeting by examining if adherence to Best Practices as recommended by Budgetary Institutions due in fact lead to desired outcomes expressed by our citizens.
