Monica Bustinza, a full-time student in pursuit of a Doctor of Philosophy in Public Affairs, focuses her research on the administration of elections within the United States. She currently serves as an intern at the Miami-Dade County Elections Department and serves as an active member in the League of Women Voters and the American Society for Public Administration. Monica is deeply passionate about civic participation; she has obtained numerous fellowships and internships geared towards registering, engaging, educating, and mobilizing individuals in the electoral process. She has been selected as a panelist around her activism efforts, participated in a White House Summit around civic participation, and received national, regional, and community awards for her impacts. Monica earned her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of Miami in 2017 and her Associate of Arts from Miami Dade Honors College in 2015.
