Wayne Tikah obtained his B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees from the University of the West Indies, Trinidad and Tobago. His undergraduate degree specialized in economics while his postgraduate studies focused on strategic leadership and management. Wayne is a third-year Ph.D. student in public policy and administration. His research interests are in policy and performance processes within the field of higher education. Before commencing his graduate studies at Florida International University (FIU), Wayne worked for the Government of Trinidad and Tobago. There, he focused on budgetary matters and parliamentary affairs while contributing to the development strategy of the country. Further, in this capacity, Wayne has worked on policy research projects with international organizations including the World Bank, the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB), the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP). Wayne grew up near the city of San Fernando, Trinidad and Tobago and enjoys cricket, chess and traveling.
