Dr. Fraser, a 40 year plus resident of Miami-Dade, is a proud graduate of FIU's BPA, MPA, and Ph.D. programs. In Fall 2019 she will teach as a Visiting Instructor in Public Policy and Administration at Florida International University. Her research interests include emergency management and nonprofit management. Her 2018 dissertation financially supported by a National Science Foundation Fellowship is entitled “The Gendered Priorities of Internally Displaced persons in post-earthquake Haiti”. It investigates the collective needs of women IDPs and their participation in the socio-economic and political reconstruction of Haiti.
Dr. Fraser is an ACUE certified advanced instructor and uses diverse teaching techniques online and in traditional settings to engage students. Students connect and integrate learning activities to their potential careers and current lifestyles. Dr. Fraser looks forward to actively assisting the department in reaching FIUBeyondPossible2020 global learning goals.
