Amanda Knapp serves as the Coordinator for the FIU Maurice A. Ferre Institute for Civic Leadership. She is a doctoral student in Public Affairs focusing her research on Human Trafficking Policy. Amanda received her bachelor's in Political Science from Marist College, master's degree in International Intercultural Education and a graduate certificate in Latin American and Caribbean Studies from FIU. Amanda received the ASPA South Florida Chapter Girls in Government Scholarship Award in 2022. Amanda also serves on the Miami Beach Human Rights Committee and is the Vice President of a Miami Beach political organization. When Amanda is not working or studying, she dedicates most of her time to community and civic involvement.
